Tomorrow means I’m 39 weeks! I still can’t believe it. It really doesn’t seem like this little one is going to actually come out. I’m still feeling really good, but feeling ready for him to come whenever he decides.
I think the perfect timing for him to come would be November 30th, right after Thanksgiving! So I’m hoping for that but we’ll see. I’m pretty much expecting him to be late and then if he comes early, then awesome.
I’ve been drinking red raspberry leaf tea which is supposed to prepare my uterus for birth. I hate tea, but I’ve read lots of great things about this kind, so that’s fun. That, and yoga, and trying to have good posture, and doing some other stretches, I’m hoping my body will be in it’s best shape for labor coming soon.
How far along? 38 weeks, 6 days
Baby is the size of: A spaghetti squash… or you know, a baby…
Total weight gain: 20 lbs
Maternity clothes? It will be so weird to go back to my regular clothes eventually. I really like my maternity jeans!
Sleep: Waking up more at night now. I think two or three times, but I can’t really remember because I’m kind of out of it when it happens. I’m still getting a full night’s sleep though, hooray!
Best moment this week: Saturday Josh and I went out for pancakes (at Cracker Barrel, which has the best pancakes) and then shopped for and packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. We decided to make it a tradition: pancakes and shoeboxes. Next year baby Warner can help us. Also we bought our first ever Christmas lights, which made us feel like real grown-ups.
Movement: Moves like crazy some days and not so much on others. Unpredictable this little one!
Food cravings: A burrito with pinto beans.
Exercise? I’ve been slacking a little, but still doing yoga. Haven’t done it as many times this week as I’d like, but not giving up! I do really enjoy it, it’s just making myself start.
Miss Anything? Making my way through a crowd of people and not having people dramatically move out of the way for me. It’s very nice, but it makes me feel huge and weird. (Some people that I know do this jokingly and it’s funny, it’s more strangers that make me feel weird).
Symptoms: Dry gums, Braxton hicks, needing to pee all the time, and belly button stretched to the max. Still no stretch marks though, hooray!
Mood? I feel really good. I really can’t believe that he’s introducing himself to the world so soon. I’m so excited to meet him.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving! I am hoping he decides to come not on Thanksgiving, but we shall see. My sister and her fam will be in town so I’m looking forward to seeing them! Maybe they will get to meet baby while they are in town.
From this point on I don’t know if I will have anymore Bumpdates, but I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks for joining me on my pregnancy journey!
Until next week,
