Two days late posting this week, so I’m 38 weeks as of yesterday!
So we’ve landed on a full name. But I told Josh that I reserve the right to change my mind until we sign the birth certificate. This week something changed and now I’m ready to have the baby. I don’t feel uncomfortable, just ready. All the loose ends are tied up pretty much, so we’re just waiting for him to come!
Happy Mother’s day to all the Mamas! Especially my momma, my sister Shannon, my step-mom Laurin, my beautiful mother-in-law Jean, and my grandma Doodle and grandma Jabes who is no longer here. Lots of love to the Moms.
How far along? 37 weeks, 6 days (at time of photo)
Baby is the size of: A Honeydew Melon, a Tackle box, or a Striped skunk (at this point he’s kind of the size of a baby)
Total weight gain: About 25 pounds
Maternity clothes? I may have bought new shoes Friday because I don’t like any clothes I’m wearing.
Sleep: I’ve been waking up and not able to go back to sleep a few times this week, which hasn’t been fun. Again, Josh is amazing and lets me sleep in as much as possible when he can.
Best moment this week: Quality time with my OG, Josh Warner. LBJ making me laugh (the new trashcan we bought is now his favorite toy). And Mothers day is also just a fantastic day, for all the Mamas.
Movement: He started doing the rolling from side to side thing. I’ve been feeling a little foot pop out on my right side quite a bit.
Food cravings: Give me all the chocolate please.
Exercise? Yoga, but it’s definitely getting harder. Feels like the baby is pretty low, so he kind of gets in the way.
Miss Anything? My memory!
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks. Today I felt like I was kind of waddling for the first time (we were also on a walk and I had to pee, so there’s that).
Mood? Excited to meet this baby! Enjoying the last days of Jack being an only child and getting all of our attention.
Looking forward to: Spicy tuna the day after I give birth. Seeing Jack meet his little brother. Sweet little newborn snuggles. Caffeine.
Thanks for joining me on my pregnancy journey!
Until next week,
Amanda
